Here is a great article by the Inspired Tree House that my co-worker (Erica Huber) shared with me. It provides some positive options for students, in lieu of taking away recess.

Computer Apps:
This website was shared by one of our ESU OT's, Kaitlyn Pagnotta. This website lets you search by topic (writing, organization, attention/hyperactivity, etc) , grade, and technology type (apple ipad, android, etc.). I am not sure as to what the cost is of specific apps, but please let me know what you find to be helpful tools for your kiddos!

OT Toolbox:
One of my co-workers, Heather Lovejoy shared the following information that may be helpful to teachers, families and OT's working in school-based practice:
"The author of OT Toolbox, Colleen Beck, has launched a FREE community on her site for occupational therapy professionals."
"This new site, The OT Toolbox Community, will be a "toolbox" of resources where members can:
-connect and collaborate
-find and share evidence-based practice resources
-share links
-and enhance the profession!
Members will be able to upload their own files to share with others, share links, create their own blog posts to share
intervention strategies, and ask/answer questions. There are more tools in store for members as well."
